We got a kit to hatch these butterflies like you see in the picture.
It comes in a bunch of small containers that have painted lady caterpillars and their food.
Eventually they turned into a chrysalis. We took them out of the container. They were attached to a small piece of paper like you can see in the picture. We taped the papers with the chrysalis attached with tape to the top of the butterfly house.
After almost a week they turned into butterflies. When they are almost ready they get very clear and have spikes on the outside of their chrysalis.
